Synergy (2)

Efficiency and Economics

The Autopoiesis Theory is based upon the unusual definition for the organization for life itself. “Autopoiesis is the minimum set of production rules conform what life emerges and to maintain itself”. It is thereby strongly focussed on the information aspect of the theory. As a matter of fact life implies irrefutably matter aspects here on earth. So life is not just an abstraction or reduction by neglecting the physical part of it. Second the definition of autopoiesis gives a limitation and deficiency of what life really is; the meaning of life.

Where the 3 Chilean biologists Varely, Uribe & Maturama were trying to see these set of rules free of its structure. Their researches show us that functionalities can be applied in many efficient and inefficient ways by organs or systems. Efficiency means authenticity and natural behavings. While inefficiency means conditioned hehavings by the organ of human being; there is no balance between individuation and collectivum. Survival here means playing the political game of manipulation for personal interests, free of the aspect of the will for survival – “l’élan vital” ~ Henri Bergson. That’s the way most politicians and bancers are acting.

It doesn’t matter if we discuss the microworld of amoebas or our own society on meso level in comparance with the cosmos as the macro structure. The biological life is in analogy with networking. It’s – yes – about Matter, Energy and Information – the MEI-concept. Although is appears to be that human is – within its original blueprint – unchangeable and will it take perhaps over hundred thousands of years before changes are adopted within human’s blueprint – an evolutionary autopoiesis. Autopoiesis, firstly manifesting as a dissipative structure within the flow of matter, energy and information, where macroscopic behavings are unpredictable regarding the microscopic behavings, finally gaining the highest level of efficiency based upon a probability of its predictional horizon with intended purposes – the Attractor.  

Being aware of these limited aspects for the definition of autopoiesis we can reconsider the flow of matter, energy and information. The self-regulation – “MorphoGenesis” (René Thom) – leads to the form or structure with the highest level of efficiency. It’s again the implicate order (David Bohm), whether talking about biological organs or talents and qualities of human beings. Being fractal the differences within the talents of human beings determines the identity out of each individuation (Gilles Deleuze). All these individuals together the identity of an organization emerges. The way this organization communicates with its surrounding, expresses itself based upon the (higher) values can be identified as the culture.

When we are talking about synergy, we deal with aspects as I described. So synergy is based upon new germs, new orders out of chaos during discontinuing processes and interactions between organs, human beings and organizations. Assure yourselves that there is more than the mentioned energies, indeed human beings are spiritual beings. The realm of spirituality bring lots of them to new orders, to new ways of thinking and living.

Efficiency and Economics

From the Chaos Theory we recognize the word “synergy”. It happens often that synergy is regarded being col-laboration “working-together”. In a way it is. Although the principle beyond synergy is completely different from col-laboration. In what do these differ ? This is to be read in my newest book.

Earlier before I discussed the item “Causality” regarding its dimensions and the way human may attribute the word “causality” to a chain re-action. In a way we can do the same here. Col-laboration is fixed upon visible or recognizable (pre-)actions, instructions and orders – the chain. Synergy emerges from unknown orders and results often into unexpected effects. Therefore it is easy to know the terms such as functionality, effectness, efficiency, autopoiesis, attractor, spelling horizon and Complex Adaptive Systems.

An organ exists because of its functionality regarding its surroundings. Interaction means adapting the network with other networks. The fusion of several functionalities produce 1 or more new functionalities. It’s a natural way of innovation. There’s a new order created from individual self-ordening; balancing between individuation and collectivum and finding its new ultimate order. That is possible because we deal with complex adaptive systems; they are energetically open – dissipative systems such as stormy cyclones. If there emerges new forms of col-laboration we speak of synergy. What does that tell us about dealing with this (also) efficiency ? To give a simple answer : “nothing”. Finding its new way between some humans, organs or organizations, the efficacy is determined by itself. The aimed effectivity is also inherent to it and so is the efficiency. No one has to do something about it. The way of emerging resulting in synergy makes that the efficiency is as high as possible. If not, then these adaptive systems will go on creating until the highest level is to be reached.

What does efficiency mean in other words ? Efficiency is synonymous to economics - about "how to gain the best result with the lowest energetical input ? "Homo Economicus". So if we are looking for higher efficiency, it is better to generate it from new aspects. That means more confidence and less control. Our human mind thinks that continuing the old ways brings solutions, emerging new functionalities a creations imply discontinuity, because thinking in solutions is chain thinking. Within the Chaos Theory it is completely inpossible to gain new orders as I described. A catastrophe (Thom & Zeeman) may mean the necessary discontinuity we need, especially during (financial) crises. A catastrophe means that (a part of) a system or organ gets destroyed, whereby space emerges for new orders.

The moment of catastrophe is the necessary discontinuity within the processes of our society. This moment scares lots of people because they experience that as complete chaos. Chaos is an unidentified order, which is implied, enfolded within every structure, although for human unrecognizable.

Holons and Monads

Koestler’s holon

The word “Holon” was invented by Arthur Koestler and has a philosophical context. Meaning being a whole and a part simultaneously. It remains the unanswered question what the human being really is. Is the human being a body with the spiritual warmth, that can show potential and actualization of it to other humans like love and affection; regarding Maxwell’s daemon ? Or can it be considered a machine with some kind of mind, soul or ghost inside? In what sphere did Koestler write “The Ghost in the Machine“ ? This and more in my newest to be written book.

What is the relationship between the holon and a monad and is the relationship to be found in the words “Collectivum & Individuation” ? (Jung & Steiner) What does Ken Wilber say about it concerning his “Theory of Everything” implying that it requires an integral way of looking at it ? Is Bergson’s “Open & Closed Morality” based upon a principle of the internal struggle between the duals “Collectivum” – holon and the “Individual” – monad ?

Koestler made 2 observations; first, that complex systems merge faster from simplex systems in the presence of a stable intermediate or catalyser. Second, in case of a stable intermediate there merges a hierarchy within in vivo organisms and social organizations as well. Absolutely speaking wholes and parts do not exist free and-or independent of each other. Thus a holon is the hybrid nature of sub-wholes and parts within in vivo systems. Think for example about the organs in your physio-biological body. They contain some autonomy as an individual organ and participate of the whole (body). So holons are simultaneously supra-ordinately self-contained in relation to their sub-ordinate parts.

The holon is a system or phenomenon like human beings what is an evolving self-organizing dissipative structure. To understand this better we can regard Pascal’s triangle structure and think about the subject fractalization. There is to be created a balance between the duals “Collectivum & Individual”, a balance between “Chaos & Order”. As I wrote in my blog about “Autopoiesis” this is a typical example of Complex Adaptive Systems – CAS – with an open energy (dissipative) system and free connecting possibilities to its surroundings. Out of these free connections that become preferred self-actualizing loopings a new stable structure emerges. It’s like Gilles Deleuze described with has sub- and supra-saturation within fluid liquids, that create crystals or substances in a chemical way of speaking.

What is a monad in this perspective ? Regarding a monad in a spiritual-philosophical way a monad has autonomy, is independent, has no convictions and interests. So the chance to be influenced by its surroundings is nihil, zero. For Koestler the monad is the “heart” of the holon. So the individual holon possesses a dominant monad, you can say there’s authenticity, congruence between monad and holon, phenomenonally speaking. You can consider it as Wilber’s “I”. Authenticity – here – means that monad – “I” and the substance “It” are congruent. A social holon has no dominant monad does not possess a dominant monad, it only possesses a definable “We”, where “their surroundings can be considered the "Ïts” of Ken Wilber. This holon acts like a collectivum where the individual holon acts like an agency.

Referring to Will McWhinney’s description about these 2 terms, where he calls the collectivum a “Community”. Think about a flock of geese or a school of fishes. Here we speak about “Synergy”. Synergy is not to be made, synergy emerges from so-called chaos situations such as danger to become a victim of a predator looking at these geese or fishes. Even at great resignations within organizations during the financial crisis. Is human being really different and capable to expel and overcome the duality between Individuation (monad) and Collectivum (holon) ?

DSM revisited

Foulds’ “Personal Illness Model

The book used by psychiatrists and psychologists – DSM – is strongly based upon classification. One of the creators of some model was G. Foulds together with A. Bedford about 1975. In 1977 they created an interview model to test Foulds’ Personal Illness Model, named “Delusions-Symptoms-States-Inventory” – DSSI. This and more you can read in my new to be written book.


How is the relation with all the versions of DSM – “Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders” – about 50 years old now ? If you try to find descriptions about Foulds’ model, then it is hard to find something. Beneath his research B. Skinner developed 5 models as well. He used the empirical way to find this classification system : “the category – dimensional – hierarchic – circular – hybrid model”. All purposes were to organize clinical and diagnostic data and categorize them as far as possible. Of course it was important what criteria were to be applied to come to an acceptable division of classification.

 

The first 3 models of Skinner are important here. The model of categories starts with clients who have strongly identical symptom profiles. Decisions for treatments are based upon an “all-or-nothing” principle (R. Blashfield 1984). An example for this are all DSM manuals. “The Model of Dimensions“ makes decisions based upon the “all-or-nothing” principle. They try to distinguish several dimensions that may represent the relationships between clients. These dimensions are Psychoticism, Neuroticism, Extra- and Introversion. A hierarchical model is a special edition within the categorizes models. A higher specific category and its symptoms implies a lower level within the hierarchy.

The Personal Illness Model of Foulds' refers to a deterioration of the capability of an person concerning dealing his/her illness and being aware of it. According to Foulds the increasing incapability of someone to control his/her own future is to be described within a hierarchy. This hierarchy congregate with a growing disintegration of one’s personality and the growing incapability to have and maintain personal and mutual relationships. His hierarchy has 4 classes over 12 categories.

Class 1 : Affective disruption; “Anxiety-Depression-Elation
Class 2 : Neurotic symptoms; “Pithiatic (conversion)-Dissociative-Fear (phobia)-Compulsive-Ruminative”
Class 3 : Integrated delusions; “Persecution-Grandeur-Contrition
Class 4 : Identity disruptions (not specified)


Further specifications about  these aspects and data can be read within the resource at the end of this blog only to keep it easy-reading here. Most striking aspect within all these research based upon interview tests is that they are very unreliable, because often the client is not aware of his/her “problem”. E.g. how is it possible to recall something you forget all the time without being aware of the fact that your mind is free thinking, your energy open and sensitive ? Is this boy of 14 – who lives  at my place this year – really to be diagnosed Autism MCDD or is he just a rebel with an adventurous spirit from an energetic way of looking at him (intuitively as I do) ? Do you label and control him or do I help him unfolding his talents ?

 

Although I somewhere read that DSM isn’t basically a statistical manual, it of course is. Statistics within Mathematics show us the possibility or chance that something happens. Another important term is “probability”. An estimation concerning the probability needs a proper Spelling Horizon. This horizon is our society, our community. Often this Spelling Horizon is an intramural community, where psychiatrists observe their clients. With data from research man creates the Gauss curve. From this Gauss curve the norm is being set, whiat deviation is acceptable and what are the limitations ? As a matter of fact ”science” is able to discover new eccentrics within the behavings of human. So the norm needs to be re-set.

 

There’s a further on-going differentiation within exceptional behavings and so within DSM. This implies that the bandwidth can be changed. The experts – writers of DSM – have the possibility to diminish the norm, the bandwidth of what is being accepted to be normal within their point of view. This means that more and more people have mental illnesses, if you believe these experts, because they do not fulfil the norm. Who finally is still normal or mentally healthy ? How strongly is this related to a free world, where taboos used to be more accepted but because of a more conditioned and controlled society nowadays they do not fit in this world anymore and experts need to give a cognitive explanation for it when expelling free thinking and expressive people ? What interests go beyond the ”need” to diagnose more and more people ill ?

Causality vs Synchronicity

Chain : Cause and-or Effect

In what way are these 2 aspects in the title related to each other ?
Everything and perhaps also nothing, it is strongly dependable of the dimensions. The current society is keen of very analytical and cognitive processes, appointing to facts, evidence and concrete things. Is this thought about the chain right or is this a bias in the way of perceiving and what human thinks he is perceiving – interpreting ? This and more you may read in my latest book “From Nomad upto Monad”.

Science is trying very hard to reduce each phenomenon – no matter with what dimension – into evidence of concrete facts and appoint it to well-known matter. Read my earlier comment about “Psychology”, which originally means the study about one’s soul. It has been reduced into something physical as the study of the biological brains as a thoughts module of human’s. What does the Universe  tell you about it; a Voice coming from the Void ? What doe Ab-solutism mean ? Is that returning into an emptiness, where you can’t help letting go and drop all matter – earthal matter ? Ab-solutism from the Latin language concerning “solvere” or “releasing” emphasized with the praefix “ab”.

Referring to the word “causality”, perhaps you can imagine why this has become such an important term ? Is that correct ? Partly yes, more often not. As a matter of fact it implies comparing apples and oranges. Using the term “causality” has very much to do with cognitive behavings and thoughts; knowing, the “why” beyond the event and successively trying to make up appropriate rules, finding solutions and use them in the proper way. When is there this moment we have to deal with causality ? As a matter of fact when we are dealing with similar dimensions. So when a ship bounces upon a rock, then it gets damaged and starts leaking water. Cause and effect, both in a matter-dimension, namely mass, the lowest deduction of energy. How is cause-and-effect related when we go back in time ? The steersman makes an error in manoeuvring the ship to the coast with its rocks with the effects as been described. Here the relation exists of an action and a material aspect. What happened before that moment ? Yeah, then it becomes difficult. Did he have a headache, was he drunk, did he have a black out ? And what then happened even before that event ?

As a matter of fact you won’t find the answer. This has to do because here we deal with lots of dimensions of energies. The most easy and lowest deduction of energy is named matter and is pretty well perceivable. Some of the other energies are hard to perceive for people. Think for instance about your 5 plus 1 senses : touch – matter” / “smell/taste – molecule/ion” / “hear – vibrating molecules” – “see – frequency” / “intuition – resonance”. A possible random gathering of energies with different kind of dimensions, which all resonate and create a new event, an implicate order, that manifests itself to people that consider such event as coincidence or contingency. Carl Jung called these kind of phenomena “Synchronicity” – an a-causal principle.

The coincidence is besides that energies gather at a certain moment and place, that they co-create in an integral way. What integrators are involved, is hard to say. That’s unique. Let’s say it has to do with Teleology, Determinism and Fate. The all known implicate order beyond the orders as far as human can deal with. In  a way dealing with causality is inapplicable. From that point of view you can tell that lots of people are working at the wrong activities, because they think they are solving problems while thinking having identified the right problems and the right causes. A cause that is often inapplicable within the tendencies of the current society. Let’s drop causality and find answers, which we can find out of the box of “causality”. That’s the power of intuition, our 6th sense. Do you join me ?

Cosmic Profile & Intelligence

Cosmic Profile & Intelligence

Being born as a one-egged twin several years ago. The 24th of October means I am a Scorpio, being sensitive. Although we are twins, my twin brother was born 1 hour earlier than me. What does this last remark have  to do in our difference of style and behavings although we’re one-egged twins ? This hour between our births makes that he has the ascendent Scorpio – "fair judging" – and I have the ascendent Saggitarius – "pointing out". That for a start-up about me.

The male human is synonymous for power and straight logic, The female human represents love, intuition and harmony. My name is Wil’fred meaning “Willing for Peace” (German) and his name is André, meaning “Male” (Greek). Did our parents decide to give the names to us, freely and disrespecting who was first to be born ? Wouldn’t it be strange that the first born baby was the most strong and powerful one – nature – and couldn’t he help being named André ? What if I was been born a girl; wouldn’t it be far more appropriate ? (regardless my name) Another fact was that  a photo at the dentist – I was 12 years old – showed us both that we had mirrored teeth. At the age of 9 years I was confronted with my first deep altruism-experience; a strong feeling of empathy, sympathy in the role of a Martyr, visiting a ship of the Red Cross – “Henri Dunant”. It meant  the start of my passionate interest in people and their behavings. Especially I love Intelligence & Consciousness.

My nature of learning is strongly based upon learning by doing, at least in my younger years. Because of my attitude – a real visionary thinker – I was busy with 2 questions during my theoretical and practical learning : “Why is this happening in this way and what is the meaning beyond it ?” This is the underlying – for me – prominent thinking style as a visionary thinker : “Intuitive and dreamy idealizing”. In terms of MBTI this includes the combination of NT and NF. As a very quiet easy going young boy, who allowed almost everything to overcome even fights without really fighting back, I may be called introvert and open/sensitive to the world as well. These 2 aspects adding to NT and NF bring me up as an Architect and Healer, being my 2 preferent temperaments. Within the enneagram it implies that I am mainly a Perfectionist (1), a Monitor (5) and a Giver (9).

During my high school I was educated in 6 languages including Latin and Greek, and several other faculties as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Later on I felt that the way perceiving the world was the way of perceiving and interpreting phenomena, I more pointed out to the underlying principles, spheres and tendencies and neglecting more and more all involved details, because details were subjective and brought limitations the the phenomenon. Later on I studied everything about energy, from biological to energy generating aspects (human body & systems) to Quantum Mechanics and the Chaos Theory. I spent in the library of KEMA Arnhem for many weeks, reading encyclopaedias and dictionaries concerning the "why" and "what" questions of electro-energetic and other topics.

Regarding my energetic body graph it appeared I was a Reflector. Energetically an individual without preferent and manifesting chakra’s. Being a Reflector means reflecting energies of others back to themselves and radiating almost nothing from myself. The description of a Reflector – Human Design – was the same of MBTI; a high qualitative thinker. Using words of the Chinese book "I Ching" to which Human Design is related, "a cauldron of wisdom & knowledge". The nick name of a Reflector is a Lunatic : "An individual who lives on the rythm of the moon". Remembering all my reflective games in my youthful years such as ball games, mirror writing, left and right  and also double handed sporting like tennis. Very often looking around corners by using windows and shadows caused by light. Although I was tested for High Intelligence (IQ > 150) in the 90-ties. I felt I used another kind of intelligence, namely the intuitive one. Of course it didn’t exist, but all I researched and found out what wasn’t available as description or word, I invented them myself, because I felt what it meant and I knew why this action was right.

Finally I discovered the last part of cosmic profiling and intelligence, The Tzol’kin and Dreamspell of the Maya’s. Regarding my profile it appeared I was a Blue Storm – Kin #99 and Tone (Moon) #8. This Dreamspell showed me also my Guide, being Intuition, although I already knew for years. As a Blue Storm I try to shake and wake up people to reconsider their lives, behavings and interests. My drive is aiming the highest Integrity within organizations and society. I nowadays feel strongly like Erasmus #2 as we look at a analytical world existing of facts, control & power. 

Reading as much as possible about e.g. Will McWhinney I recognized I was as much a Mythic as he was. In the most practical ways as I can, functionally thinking the way Leonardo – my second name – Da Vinci could. Simply because I have been working at almost all levels within lots of disciplines. Finally now I do social research and theoretical research as well, concerning many most prominent psychologists and philosophers and associate all together in a complete holistic way. Writing my own books about Innovation and cosmic items such as Time, human phenomena as Schizophrenia and Autism. Showing we're all fractal, unique and coming from One Source. We should behave like that and respect all human and nature : "Heal  the world", like a real monad without earthal interests, pre-judgements and convictions.

An INTP (Architect) or an INFP (Healer), as being High Gifted and High Sensitive, the Reflector or a Mythic, they all represent 1 till 2 per cent each of the whole. I was amazed since I discovered I was a combination of all these representing major minorities. My approach to everybody is the esoteric and cosmic way, holistic, pure and full of respect. Natural & cosmic structures

A Youthful Election System - YES

This new idea for a new election system is based upon natural and cosmic perspectives with several aspects. The underlying cosmic system is named Tzol’kin or Birth calendar of the Maya’s. Their division concerning this calendar found its principle in the 13 moon cycles – 13 Tones per year and the 20 sun seals per moon – the Kin. This combination delivers 260 possibilities. The visual presentence of this cosmic calendar brings us the structure for the Youthful Election System. Further on it is so that the 3 aspects to be described afterwards, form the elements for new thinking and other dimensions of consciousness and empower this system. These 3 aspects are enclosed within the word “T’ritz”.

2. Kweak : 9-daily working week based upon 28-days-cycle (moon)
3. Wohlsam : Female elementary complement of Maslow's pyramid

Since the introduction of the election system by Thorbecke about 200 years ago (Netherlands & Belgium) the effects within the society of today may have changed in several ways, the system itself has not be altered in its fundamental way. It still works based upon preferred votes for 1 individual with some political colour or background. So it is in the Netherlands, so it is globally. Because of this political background man can discern polarization within the choice of solutions for political and social problems. At the other hand it can attain arguments for a choice to regard problems in a broader way than only 1 individual might be capable to and the way the individual ought to respects the interests of its political delegation. Everybody is unique and because of his/her talents and world views willing to realize it in that way in his/her surroundings and society. This means that individuals who are entitled to vote will look for synergetic associations with other individuals that may represent him/her to come to fertile collaborations. In this way talents of the individual is represented by a small group of persons, who can guarantee for it realization. Depending on the priority of each individual he/she will award some points to the combination ot theme and person. The structure of the division of points in more or less related to the structure of the calendar of the Maya’s. The Art of Electing is transcended en manifested by talent en dividing & awarding these points – no matter in which form or structure – makes the voter realize what his/her own talents and responsibilities are or should be.

For many years there was this 6 daily working week, later diminished till 5 days per week. Nowadays we live in a 24/7 economy and old constructs still exist, but these are no longer applicable for many disciplines. A complete resting day as Sunday was in the old days, doesn’t exist also no longer, can’t be imaginable. The 7-daily cycle is based upon the more or less total congruency of all people, hardly no exceptions allowed within working and thinking. This structure was ever been posed and loses more and more its power. We see more identification from the individual him/herself with his/her own talents and qualities. In line with the cosmic wisdom we see how moon cycles were being transformed into month cycles and these months in no way can show their identical power. Regarding the ‘random’ quantity of days of each month. As a matter of fact cultures that live in the cycles of the moon account per cycle 1 day of rest, a day for transition to the next moon cycle, in a way that it is possible within the (moon-)cycle of 28 days. The essence of the Kweak is based upon a structure of 3 times or Kweaks of 9 days, resulting in 27 days and 1 day for the transition. Moon-day 28 represents day Zero, day of transition or orientation for the next 3 Kweaks of each 9 days. This day we may call “Glory-Daya”, so the transition day to a new moon cycle. A more proper word is the 9 daily LIFE week. Because everybody is unique everyone of us lives his/her own moon cycle, considering the moment of birth. Therefore this 28th day iand the 3 Kweaks are as unique as the individual him/herself. Let this individual make his/her own choice for the activities. At one hand this results into a more free and more personal time spending, at the other hand it results into a free time spending considering the working hours to be made. Which results in a more balanced Life Kweak between working and private activities. A ultimate decision of consciousness concerning working and private activities, a more proper and unique interpretation of your own life based upon your own unicity.

Who are the great thinkers when we consider the invention and creation of models and methods ? They mostly are men within the society. You may even conclude that mainly these models enclose a strongly male aspect; they are based  upon an analytical way of thinking with less emotionally feedbacks. Models are created to get or hold more control on activities of alldays in a more easy way. Very clinical, analytical and therefore masculinely – logically – approached. In that way we can regard the model of Abraham Moslow’s, represented by a pyramid of human needs in a hierarchic way. Hierarchy implicates beneath multiplicity also systematics in a statical way, which implies power and control again, without any doubt the masculine aspect within our society. Another aspect what can be attributed is education of people. However, hoe natural is educating people or otherwise, deducting from someone’s identity ? Remembering the falsification of moon cycles versus month cycles according pope Gregorius ? Is a more beautiful assignment facilitating human qualities and talents, that can be unfolded ? The natural process that opposites the process of control. The pyramid of Maslow’s is metaphorically speaking a phallus, the unilateral or biased way of the masculine aspect. Bij reflecting this pyramid there merges a complementary, another triangle (pyramid) co-generating a diamond; Maslow being reflected into Wohlsam. This picture of a diamond ensembles the same structure and form als being described in  the first additional part above here. The female aspect that represents love and affection, without condition and without control. The female power of protection, as it ever started in the uterus. Picking up problems and offering help to vulnerable people in our society. While the time of turning away is past time long ago. While responsibility of one’s individual become more manifest as far as capabilities and qualities are present to deal these problems. To make choices that really matters, also as we consider the way of electing people, who we trust that they can and do. While the controlling institutes need to be broken up and finally become organic, natural and dynamic, in a way for everybody’s – general – interests. 

What possibilities can be exploited, time will tell us. Like so many other novelties YES is an idea within a new paradigm, another way of looking and thinking. With highest simplicitity and great effect in this era.

Individuation & Integration

It is not in the outer sensory world, but within our own hearts and mind and the deeper meaning and spiritual truth that we long for is to be discovered.

Steiner however, levels an important criticism upon these approaches to psychology that would limit the transformative reach of the archetypal beings encountered within the imaginatively activated soul. Jung is  careful to guard against the intellect’s tendency to dismiss or rationalize the intense emotions that numinous encounters produce. Steiner points out :

If the soul never emerged out of itself, but merely kept wanting to experience desires and emotions – anything from the deepest reverence to disgust – nothing would happen that is independent of the soul.

For Steiner the whole point of developing one’s capacity for imaginative perception is to rise above the limited subjectivity of the egocentric soul – read : earthly needs, convictions and points of view. Active imagination develops self-understanding, but the aim is not just to know oneself truly; it is also to will what is good. Referring in this way to the terms of sympathy of Henri Bergson’s. All stirrings of the consciousness – I call it free moving across/through the fields of Intelligence – emerge in the liminal space between the subjective emotionality of the soul and the transpersonal intuition of the spirit. That is the integral state of a monad and the mode of interacting : assertively and in an objective way of subjectivity.

In that way Jung recounts his inner experience of hearing his call of consciousness. This can be comprehended in several ways. The way from the point of view of Jung’s is the dualistic way, namely a way of conversation between Self and ego, between spirit and soul and-or Self and its shadow. It’s in a Socratestic way of thinking where thesis and antithesis create a new (emerged) synthesis with higher values closer to 1 Truth, our Source (Riemann's asymptote).

To Steiner that – these emotional experiences – has much more to do with personal conceptions but the higher purpose of Humanity. “The thinking function is unable to reconcile itself with the powerful emotionality of the unconsciousness; the individual human being must include other modalities of consciousness.” These stages are to be recognized at High Gifted children and adults, where emotion can be considered the engine of one’s personal development – Dabrowski-Kierkegaard-Bergson. Where this highest level #5 implies the highest level of Altruism, where we can assign the 3 archetypes, being a Hermit, a Crusader or a Martyr.

Gebser’s entire project was to reveal the integral transparency of the structure of consciousness, such that each played its proper role in the perception of the whole. In his eyes the rise of the unconsciousness and its content corresponded to “nothing other than the psychic form of time’s irruption into our consciousness.” Appointing to the word “Time”  which made Jung spend working out the synchronicity between psyche and cosmos – “Synchronicity” – an acausal principle. 

As Jung, Gebser and Steiner have helped to make clear, the evolutions of consciousness has both individual and collective elements. “The human being is potentially the consciousness of the Earth.”

Individuation & Integration

We must bring our original mind back to consciousness, where it never has been before and where it has never undergone critical self-reflection.” Re-acquainting ourselves with ever-present origin of consciousness is no simple task, since individuation cannot be accomplished by mental reflection alone. Jung’s method of active imagination will be explored and developed along Steiner’s spiritual science in the hopes that a possible way towards the integration of body, soul and spirit is uncovered.

For Jung the initial irruption of psychic disturbances that he later came to describe as the result of a process of “active imagination” were more traumatic than constructive. In the depth of his solitude Jung met himself. He started to educate himself to teach him a greater form of self-esteem : “Accept en learn embracing your shadow.”  This confrontation is the first test of courage on the inner way,”sufficient to frighten off most people.”

According to Steiner human beings long ago lost immediate contact with the spiritual world due to the emerge of the ego, which has redirected all our attentions to the physical body and the external sensory world – Kierkegaard’s lowest principle : “The esthetical Self” beneath “The ethical Self” and finally “The Religious Self” – Dabrowski’s highest level within existentionism or altruism at High Gifted children and adults.

When our soul really attains to imagination, it senses in its life of visualizations something akin to what it feels in its life of perceptions (mainly intuitive intelligence – moì). In the latter the soul feels its direct contact with the outer world, with corporeality; in imagination it feels an indirect contact with a world that at first also appears to it as an outer world, but this is the outer world of the spirit.

Read here (again) Kierkegaard’s religious Self or in my words the spiritual Intelligence. Remembering that Intelligence is synonymous to the Greek word “Entelecheia” meaning “Potential actualized” (see my book "Apprenti"). It does not matter which potential I mean in this quote. It’s this spectre of Intelligence, existing of physical, rhythmic, relational, mental and spiritual aspects (and perhaps some more). For Jung individuation is all that can prevent human civilization from spiralling into disorder and chaos of mass-mindness. “The change must begin with one In-Dividual.”  Nobody can afford to look around and wait for somebody else to do what he is loath to do himself.

The method of active imagination  is Jung’s way of gaining access to the intelligence and transformative power of the subterranean structures of the psyche. Like Steiner he realized that modern human people had become so captivated by the ego’s ability to predict and control nature that what we have ”simply forgotten the age-old fact that God speaks chiefly through dreams and visions" (remembering ESP).

Individuation & Integration

The confrontation with the unconsciousness that lead Jung to write ”The Red Book” which brought him into solitude. He knew there was no way to justify the gnosis imparted to him and he was compelled nonetheless to communicate its symbolic meanings of others. Individuation though individual is never simply an inner process, but is bound up with the transformation of other people of the world itself : “…… the spirits of the depths in me at the same time the ruler of the depths of world affairs (World War 1).

The evolution of consciousness is based upon the phenomenological observation that clearly discernable worlds stand out whose development or unfolding took place in mutations of consciousness.

According to Gebser. These world structures (classified into archaic, magic, mythic and mental).
As I wrote earlier before that observation or perception is to be divided into several dimensions of energy :

“What lays beyond extrapolating senses from tactile (mass) – taste (molecule/ion) – hear vibrating molecule) – see (frequency) and intuition (resonance) ?”

Remembering Jung’s ESP project (Extra Sensory Perception) and before that he became in a waking vision a first hint (1913) for the start of World War I, 1 year later. This brought him in great fear and  made him think he was on the way of “doing a schizophrenia”. Schizophrenia can be considered as 2 World Views; “each acting in solitude and refusing to interact or integrate with each other”. Later on he admitted to himself that his dreams and visions came to him from the subsoil of the collective unconsciousness. It was researcher Lousia Rhine who proposed the theory that ESP starts in the unconsciousness, a storehouse of memories, hopes and fears. Later on Jung developed upon this ESP his “Synchronicity” – an a-causal principle.

The Red Book” Jung artfully exemplifies for collective view the imaginal process of soul-making that can remind the autonomous, perspectival ego of its origin in a shared substratum of myth and magic. Jung’s practice of active imagination can aid the transformation out of mental-rational consciousness, giving rise to the conditions, necessary for a second birth. The current shortcoming is certainly not its verification of a  psychic totally deeper than egoic consciousness – the Unitary and Sensory World Views with their analytical processes (Will McWhinney). Modern psychology has turned  the soul into a scientific object. For Gebser the illuminative potential – entelecheia  of pure consciousness is definitely not restricted to spatialization and temporalization. “But trapped in the three-dimensionality of the mental-rational structure.”  

Jung and Gebser each recognized the direness of our situation : Wakeful egoic consciousness must come to terms with the deeper, undivided temporal polarity constituting its psychic totality or integrality. This totallity I call this “the Spectre of Intelligence” (book "From Nomad upto Monad")

Individuation & Integration

The hypothesis  of the unconsciousness” writes Jung “puts a large question mark after the idea of the psyche.” As his practice matured, Jung came to realize that the soul is not a scientific object at all; on the contrary, it is what makes such objectification possible : “every science is a function of the psyche and all knowledge is rooted in it.” But how is psychology   "the science of the soul" – to proceed if its foundational hypothesis admits the existence of an autonomously functioning unconsciousness ? This and more in my books or a new one to be written.

This difficulty was recognized by the cultural philosopher Jean Gebser. According to him :

There is no so-called unconsciousness. There are only various modalities (or intensities) of consciousness; a one-dimensional magical, a two-dimensional mythical and a three-dimensional mental consciousness. And there will also be an integral four-dimensional consciousness of the whole.”

Carl Jung’s points of view is based upon duality, reminding his “Extraversion vs. Introversion” modalities. Regarding this there is this same similarity concerning the issue of Consciousness and UnConsciousness. That’s what it is all about. In the same way we consider Dabrowski’s "Positive DisIntegration" at High Gifted people, capable to tune in for “unknown” energies or information being the unfoldness of a part of Unconsciousness. In that way I described the Zèta function of Bernhard Riemann earlier in "Apprenti". The Riemann function implies a summary of several dimensions of awareness including self awareness, resulting in a higher consciousness untill the ultimate level where the deviation approaches “zero”. This a-symmetry and this change or even better, exchange of both consciousnesses like it is for Henri Bergson looking at “Time”.

Both Gebser and Steiner will provide important additions and amendments to Jung’s Psychology, so as to avoid the undue reduction of spiritual realities to psychic projections, think of archetypal energies of the soul. The archetype of the Self is for Jung both the center (introverting) and the circumference (extraverting) of the psyche. It unifies all opposites by luring the psyche towards a more complex form of wholeness. Regarding Riemann’s word “MultiPlicity”  and Ouspensky's tours within his "Enneagram"– #9; his number of wholeness, the way to come to Self-Healing, the state of an autonomous entity, a monad.

Whereas for Freud the desire for psychic wholeness is nothing but a regressive infantile longing for the past existence in the mother’s womb, for Jung it represents our human need to simultaneously discover our cosmic extent and penetrate to our spiritual essence (see blog "Teleology"). Gebser, Steiner and Jung all agree at this point. Steiner : 

”In our unconsciousness we have to find the most essential transitional forces for the whole of human kind and just as we find in the individual the most important forces for the development of a fully awake consciousness.”

Recognition of the mutual interplay between the individual and the collective should be in the heart of any deep inquiry into the psyche. Think in this way of duality of eg. the method “Spiral Dynamics", Ken Wilber and “the 4 Word Views” of McWhinney.

Autopoiesis and Concrescence

Autopoiesis and Concrescence

The first term “Autopoiesis” is often being used within the Chaos Theory. Autopoiesis is possible because we deal with dissipative structures : Thermodynamically speaking about open, energetic systems. Concrescence is more mythical, away from mechanical and biological thoughts. This and more you can read in my latest books or a new one. 

Other terms which are applicable here are Functionality, Emergence and Teleology. When you understand Teleology, you find out how you are involved to essence of the word Emergence. In a way Emergence itself does not exist, because all has its predestination, so Emergence is only surprising in a human way. Understanding Teleology and knowing this by Reflection, what’s new about it for your self ? First is it may be right to explain the word “Autopoiesis”  Prigogine's Self Ordening. In most ways it can be considered in a more biological way, creating its own (biological) network, think about an amoeba. In a changing world (Space) it is necessary to change too – according to Darwin and in a mechanical or causal way also to Newton.  Autopoiesis has strongly to deal with the introspective way of changing – regarding the praefix –“auto”- meaning Self. It also has to do with reproduction, reconsidering it in a biological way, in advance. Reproducing proteins for building up the right network. 

Further on we are dealing with Bergson’s Impetus, “The Mover”. Adapting these networks might result into new and perhaps adding functionalities, where the first and strongest functionality is “to survive” (Darwin). Varely's Autopoiesis based upon a Dissipative Structure – “an Energetic Open System”. There when regarding it in possibilities it takes too long to find out with “emerging creations” emphasis this functionality of surviving. Darwin version 2 : Preferred networks, that affirm into themselves in relation to their unicity and unique teleology, where other networks fade away. So random networks do not exist in ways of probabilities and possibilities (statistically speaking).

Here is a possible paradox : If its destiny is well-known, that would mean that the destiny of lots of (biological) networks – species of anima-ls are to extinguish. Life and René Thom's Catastrophe (death) : The necessity of the evil part or catastrophe to create space for new networks.  So Teleology needs to be considered into another higher dimension, namely Humanity. Regarding e.g. Descartes’ duality of matter and spirit" – freely speaking – We need to transcendent Self-Reproducting and Self-Organizing to the for us mythical or spiritual world. The individual and introspective Autopoiesis transcends into or together with the collective and extraspective Concrescence (Whitehead). There where Autopoiesis has to deal with Ken Wilber’s “I” and “It” in the more biological way, so Whitehead's Concrescence has to deal with his 2 terms “Its” and “We”.  Where “I” and “It” associate with Self-Reproduction (Singularis) and “Its” and “We” with Self-Organizing (Pluralis).

Do you have any idea how you live your life ? Any idea how some kind of chaos can emerge the right social innovation to you and your organization ? Esoterically speaking :  “As big as small, As High as Low”. Which means the correlation does exist in making this world a better place and not awaiting for help out of the Universe. Because it is in us all, our Universe Implicate Order for Self-Healing and Harmony around us.

High Giftedness (3)

Existentialism and an-Archism

As you may have read my books and blogs about High Giftedness I describe this situation from this point of views. More and this in my latest books or a new one.

Highest Existentialism and Self-Consciousness has all to do with taking own responsibility regarding your help to other people. The way of realizing is as unique as the individual him/herself. So the way is not important and this Idealist is not to be accountable for the way of his/her actions to others but the highest Truth. It is out of any question, because it is based upon the an-archistic principle at highest levels. What does that mean ?

Every individual is a fractal of the Whole; every individual has a fractal of the truth of the whole. The way of every individual is based upon – for human’s level – an Arche Type (Carl Jung). This Arche Type is typical for each individual and can be considered metaphorical, being an icon or symbol. Based upon a main or prominent and generally accepted feature of this icon or symbol. Beneath that these Arche Types are also strongly culture bounded. Because the definition of Culture says that this is the collective manifestation of the self-expression of each individual within this collectum.  An Arche Type represents a prominent feature regarding the actions or behavings. Consistence within these behavings makes one reliable concerning character; congruency with the authenticity, fractal or arche type. The wholeness of the unit or energetic entity - the monad (Gott-Fried Leibniz).

An Arche Type is not based upon earthal values, although they may represent earthal icons, symbols and often anima-ls. Unfortunately it often has to do with egocentric behavings, although I think the features should be more based upon higher Ethics and Religions (Søren Kierkegaard). Being An-Archistic means that you do not apply to any kind of Arche Type but the one you represent as you are – highest level  # 5  Kazimierz Dabrowski. Therefore you do not have to ask any one for permission what to do in your altruistic activities. There’s just 1 Arche Type you get conformistic with and that’s the higher Truth. Concluding this you won't have to obey any human who tells you what to do, unless the message is immediately and highly related to this Truth. It’s the monadic kind of life as I live it right now; an-archistic and non comformistic in relationship with anybody here on earth.

This has all to do with Self De-velopping, the enfolded talent within yourself, the Implicate Order – David Bohm. Reaching out for gaining your higher mission. There’s no education for this than life itself and  the highest kind of Reflection. Name it Spiritual Intelligence synonymous to the Highest Existentialism and Self-Consciousness. Who has a right to block these developments ?
